You can quantize all MIDI Regions in your Project at once:
- Select all the Regions (Key Command command+A in the Main Window)
- Open the Piano Roll Editor (Key Command E)
- In the Inspector on the left select a Quantize value in the Time Quantize popup menu.
- All the Regions are now quantized to that value
I recently made a tutorial showing you how to fix timing issues in your GarageBand for Mac Software Instrument tracks using quantization. This time around i’ve created a beginner’s guide to Flex Time – a fantastic built in tool that allows you to fine tune the actual waveforms in your GarageBand Real Audio recordings. Time Quantize pop-up menu (with Strength slider): Quantize the timing of notes in the selected regions. Transpose slider: Change the pitch of notes in the selected regions. When individual notes in a region are selected, the following controls appear in the Score Editor inspector: Insert pop-up menu: Choose the note value for notes to insert.

Secondly, how i determine what goes on in a particular section of the song?? Like i want something else to play say 3mins into the song, you know, kinda like a hook or something like that?? Cos so far its pretty much copy paste thing.😕
This is a very generic question and I'm not sure you understand the basic concepts of Regions along a Timeline.
- If you want to play/record something at 3 min, put the Playhead there and record something or copy new Regions to that place.
- If you have other Regions at that place , select them and move them to the right (later) along those Tracks.
Hope that helps
